a boy and his bear

We are currently on Fall Break from School and having a big ole time doing a lot of nothing.
But yesterday each of the boys got to go and do something special, something they don't get to do on a regular basis. Wylie went golfing with Daddoe and GrandPat and Miles and Momma went to Build-A-Bear Workshop.

Now visiting Build-A-Bear is not the sort of thing I would usually do, but it was a Special Treat Day and I knew Miles would love it. See Miles LOVES to create and craft. In fact, lately our way of punishing him is to put him on restriction from crafting. As in "This is your last warning. If you do that again you will not be allowed to craft for 2 days!"
Oh the trauma!

Luckily Build-a-Bear turned out to be a great hit with Miles, and he and his new best pal Bobby (yes he named him) have been inseparable since. "Bobby is an Army Pilot on the weekends, but he doesn't like to watch shows about that sort of thing, he just does it for his job."
Also "on Sunday, he has a meeting in Chicago."

You can see that Bobby is a very important and busy Bear.

On the way home in the car, with Bobby in his arms, I heard a loud sigh from the back seat and then this:
"He sure is a lovable bear."

Yes, he is Miles... I wonder where he got it from?

  1. This is just so precious. He is a most loving boy. I always say that you have raised the most loving boys. So glad they are like their parents.
